WHERE AND HOW DO I PICK UP MY TRAILER?
You and your sales consultant will find the plant closest to your location. When your trailer is ready for pickup, you will be contacted and a time and day will be set up for your pick up.
Your tow vehicle should already be setup to tow your new trailer. There is no one at the plant that can add or remove, or make repairs to your tow vehicle to insure it can tow a trailer.
When you arrive at the plant, you will need to have a certified check or money order made payable to TRAILERSDIRECTUSA for the balance of your trailer purchase. We will send a release form to the plant with a Texas temporary license tag. This temporary license plate will allow you to use the trailer until we send you the MSO/Title. Then per your local laws, you may be required to license this vehicle.
Someone at the plant will go over your trailer with you to insure it is what you ordered and has all the options you ordered.
It is recommended that you inspect the trailer thoroughly.
Once you leave the plant, all repairs or changes can be made only by an authorized warranty center. While you are at the plant, they can make any changes or correct any problems while you wait.
IF I CHOOSE TO HAVE MY TRAILER SHIPPED TO ME, HOW DOES THAT WORK?
This process is quite simple. Your sales consultant will assist you in getting the logistic company set up to move your trailer, then you send in the complete payment including the shipping costs. When we receive this, we will call the logistics company and have the trailer shipped to you.
The logistics company usually arranges to have your new trailer either driven behind a tow vehicle to your location or they may have it on a larger shipping vehicle with several trailers going in your direction. This will be discussed with you and your sales consultant.
A company we can recommend is called Sanram Transport that is a nationwide firm that handles deliveries of this type. They do a great job and will take care of you through your delivery.
CAN I CALL THE PLANT MYSELF TO GET A STATUS CHECK ON MY TRAILER?
Yes, you may do this, however, we call the plants several times a day, as do many other dealers, so they may seem to be short with you, or act like they don’t have time to deal with you. You would be better off calling us.
We do have a much better relationship with them and have computer access to some parts of the plant and sometimes we can get an answer right away.
You will also receive sometime during each Monday, an email from us telling you the status of your trailer, and give you a link to see what it may look like. Keep in mind, these are just generalized pictures, they are not your specific trailer.
In stock trailers can be picked up within 48 hours of purchase at the factory. All other orders will be processed and can be picked up when the trailer construction is complete.
